GET INVOLVED!
Volunteer effort has been, and remains, essential to the continued existence and success of Pittsford Musicals. There's something for everyone to do in a Pittsford Musicals show, and you'll have a great time doing it too.
We need actors. We need stage crew. Then there's costume and set construction, props personnel, set painters, and decorators. We need people to staff the box office, stuff envelopes, run to the printer or to the hardware store, or help the cast with make-up. We need ushers.
No experience? No problem. All that's required is your interest and cooperation so that together we can put on the best show in town, help to raise scholarship funds, and have fun all at the same time.
Send us an email at info@pittsfordmusicals.org and let us know what you might be interested in doing!
Auditions
We love seeing new faces and reuniting with old friends. Auditions usually happen a month or two before rehearsals begin. Follow us on social media or check our homepage around January (depending on when the performance will be that year) for the most up-to-date information.
JOIN A COMMITTEE
The Board of Directors produce the show (run the website, sell the tickets, hire the artistic team, make the budget, pay the bills and on and on.) We have committees that work on all these things and those committees consist of both board members and non-board members. Read through what the committees do below and if you’re interested in joining a committee please feel free to reach out at any time!
Marketing
The Marketing Committee crafts PM’s marketing message. They get the word out about our organization, events, auditions, and the SHOW. Marketing strategies also target potential volunteers to donate their time and skills on behalf of the organization. Organizing social events is a good way to get more community members involved, and it builds good-will toward the organization.
• Social media – Maintain PM’s accounts including Facebook, Instagram. Create events on FB
• Website – Update the website with information on board members, upcoming events, auditions, fundraising
• Public relations/Press – Write press release for show and/or other events and distribute to local media contacts. Coordinate news media coverage or work with outside PR vendor to get this done
• External & Internal Social Events
• Merch Sales - Threadless designs and upkeep

-To work with both board members and non-board members to establish a fundraising plan that incorporates a series of appropriate vehicles, such as special events, direct mail, product sales, etc.
